Particularly for this area during the summer we got a great rate with our Capital One rebate via a third party booking service. Now a days, the $165 a night hotels are more akin to the quality of an $85 a night of just a couple of years ago, so getting a room for an average of $150 a night in a maintained facility with pleasant/helpful staff feels like a feat worth celebrating. The room was clean and large, with a sofa and a desk, which was nice as due to storms we found ourselves hanging out in the room to kill some time; we were able to connect our Roku to the TV. The room also had a microwave & mini-frig with freezer! We were able to refreeze cooler packs for day trips. Daily housekeeping services are by request only, which was no problem for us. And they were very nice/helpful when I met them in the hall to change out towels, get more coffee/cups, etc. There is a nice lobby area and some guests utilized this area to play games. The breakfast was so-so, but at least it has a breakfast. My husband made reference to the Seinfeld Soup Nazi episode in regard to the breakfast attendants as they only sat out a limited quantity of food items and dinnerware and with-in 15 minutes of the serving end time they were shutting it down and cleaning up - no breakfast for you! The attendants were nice though, and if you're not seeing what you're looking for such as fruit, hard boiled eggs, etc., just ask as they likely have more in the back. The hotel is right next to the expressway, we were able to change rooms closer to the center of the hotel which dampened the sound and with the a/c unit on fan we couldn't hear the expressway at all. The hotel is conveniently near restaurants and grocery stores such as Meijer & Walmart. The nearby mall is now defunct, but there are many stores in area within a reasonable drive including a Kohl's. The hotel is convenient to nearby touristy areas such as St.

Great location. You could walk to W-mart if you needed anything. 15 drive to the beach $15 a day to park of $40 weekly pass . There were restaurants within walking distance and an excellent movie theatre with reclining seats, which came in handy when the temperature dropped and ruined our beach day. Continental breakfast was perfect and kept us from trying the close by pancake house that had great reviews. I enjoyed talking to other guests while enjoying coffee. This is an older hotel that has been updated in all the right places. It has a very large outdoor pool deck with seating. The indoor pool is smaller but there is a hot tub to enjoy.

The breakfast saved the rating for this property. There was a variety of selections each day. Lots of selections. Hot side; eggs, waffles, seasoned potatoes, a meat, and biscuits and gravy. Cold side; cereal, breads, juices, and a few pastries. (Hard boiled eggs are in an unmarked bowl in the refrigerator. Lol) There is plenty of seating, the area is monitored very well.

The hotel dining attendees were throughly briefed in customer service and satisfaction. Our continental breakfast was surprisingly delicious! The selection was one of a 5 star hotel and very satisfying. Our room was clean and welcoming. The front desk staff were pleasant as well.

This place is good for family vacation. The swimming pool is wonderful with warm water and a hot tub. Good food for breakfast but we would like more vegetables.
